Let’s become “good ministers (workers) of Christ Jesus”

 

1 Timothy디모데 전서 4:4-16

4하나님의 지으신 모든 것이 선하매 감사함으로 받으면 버릴 것이 없나니 5하나님의 말씀과 기도로 거룩하여짐이니라 6네가 이것으로 형제를 깨우치면 그리스도 예수의 선한 일군이 되어 믿음의 말씀과 네가 좇은 선한 교훈으로 양육을 받으리라 7망령되고 허탄한 신화를 버리고 오직 경건에 이르기를 연습하라 8육체의 연습은 약간의 유익이 있으나 경건은 범사에 유익하니 금생과 내생에 약속이 있느니라 9미쁘다 이 말이여 모든 사람들이 받을만하도다 10이를 위하여 우리가 수고하고 진력하는 것은 우리 소망을 살아 계신 하나님께 둠이니 곧 모든 사람 특히 믿는 자들의 구주시라 11네가 이것들을 명하고 가르치라. 12누구든지 네 연소함을 업신여기지 못하게 하고 오직 말과 행실과 사랑과 믿음과 정절에 대하여 믿는 자에게 본이 되어 13내가 이를 때까지 읽는 것과 권하는 것과 가르치는 것에 착념하라 14네 속에 있는 은사 곧 장로의 회에서 안수 받을 때에 예언으로 말미암아 받은 것을 조심 없이 말며 15이 모든 일에 전심전력하여 너의 진보를 모든 사람에게 나타나게 하라 16네가 네 자신과 가르침을 삼가 이 일을 계속하라 이것을 행함으로 네 자신과 네게 듣는 자를 구원하리라

⁴ For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, ⁵ because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.

⁶ If you point these things out to the brothers and sisters,^[a] you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished on the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed. ⁷ Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. ⁸ For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. ⁹ This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance. ¹⁰ That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.¹¹ Command and teach these things. ¹² Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. ¹³ Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. ¹⁴ Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you.¹⁵ Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. ¹⁶ Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.(1 Timothy 4:4-16)

A.    선한 일군이란? What is a good minister?

1.   신앙의 바탕위에서 성령의 지시를 따라 일하는 일군(Acts행16:6)

A person who stands firm upon faith and works according to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

바울은 다메섹도상에서 예수님을 만난후 그의 삶은 자신의 모든 것을 다 주의 일을 위하여 드리고 생활하였습니다. 그때 성령의 인도를 받고 그 말씀대로 순종하였습니다.

바울은 제 2차 전도여행 중 여러교회에 복음을 전할 때 그들의 믿음이 더 굳어지고 수가 날마다 더하였습니다. 사도행전 16:6절에 성령이 아시아에서 말씀을 전하지 못하게 하자 다른 지역인 브루기아와 갈라디아 땅으로 다니며 복음을 전하였습니다.

 

2.   양심위에서 진실과 성실로 일하는 일군(Matthew마25:20-23)

A person that works with sincerity and honesty and follows his conscience.

자신에게 맡겨 주신 일에 대하여 마음을 다하여 맡겨 주신 주인의 마음을 즐겁게 해 드리기 위해 최선을 다하는 일군입니다.(마태복음 25:20-23)

       20다섯 달란트 받았던 자는 다섯 달란트를 더 가지고 와서 가로되 주여 내게 다섯 달란트를 주셨는데 보소서 내가 또 다섯 달란트를 남겼나이다 21그 주인이 이르되 잘 하였도다 착하고 충성된 종아 네가 작은 일에 충성하였으매 내가 많은 것으로 네게 맡기리니 네 주인의 즐거움에 참예할찌어다 하고 22두 달란트 받았던 자도 와서 가로되 주여 내게 두 달란트를 주셨는데 보소서 내가 또 두 달란트를 남겼나이다 23그 주인이 이르되 잘 하였도다 착하고 충성된 종아 네가 작은 일에 충성하였으매 내가 많은 것으로 네게 맡기리니 네 주인의 즐거움에 참예할찌어다.

20 The man who had received five bags of gold brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more.’ 21 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ 22 “The man with two bags of gold also came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with two bags of gold; see, I have gained two more.’ 2 3“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ (Matthew 25:20-23)

3.   하나님의 말씀안에서 성경을 바로 가르치고 증거하는 일군(Galatians갈6:14)

A person that teaches and witnesses of the word of God.

우리 주 예수 그리스도의 십자가 외에 결코 자랑할 것이 없다는 것을 증거하는 일군입니다.

“내게는 우리주 예수그리스도의 십자가 외에 결코 자라할 것이 없으니 그리스도로 말미암아  세상이 나를 대하여 십자가에  못 박히고 내가 또한 세상을 대하여 그러하니라 (갈6:14)

14 May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has  been crucified to me, and I to the world. (Galatians 6:14)

바울이 고백하는 것처럼(갈 2:20)

내가 그리스도와 함께 십자가에 못박혔나니  그런즉 이제는 내가 산 것이 아니요 오직 내 안에 그리스도께서 사신 것이라 이제 내가 육체가운데 사는 것은 나를 사랑하사 나를 위하여 자기 몸을 버리신 하나님의 아들을 믿는 믿음안에서 사는 것이라” (갈 2:20) 와 같이 담대하게 고백할 수 있는 일군입니다.

20I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)

“2또 네가 많은 증인 앞에서 내게 들은 바를 충성된 사람들에게 부탁하라 저희가 또 다른 사람들을 가르칠수 있으리라(딤후 2:2)

2And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others. (2 Timothy 2:2)

와 같이 마음에 결단하는 일군입니다.

4.     하나님을 의지하여 선을 행하는 일군(시 37:3-6)

A person that entrusts himself to God and does good deeds.

3여호와를 의뢰하여 선을 행하라 땅에 거하여 그의 성실로 식물을 삼을지어다 4또 여호와를

기뻐하라 저가 네 마음의 소원을 이루어 주시리로다 5너의 길을 여호와께 맡기라 저를 의지하면

저가 이루시고 6네 의를 빛같이 나타내시며 네 공의를 정오의 빛같이 하시리로다(시37:3-6)

3Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. 4 Take delight in the Lord,

and he will give you the desires of your heart. 5 Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: 6 He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.

(Psalms 37:3-6)

 

B.    왜 선한 일군이 되어야 합니까?

Why must we become good ministers?

1.    하나님의 영광을 위해서( 딤전 4:15,16)

For the glory of God

1)     이 모든 일에 전심전력하여 나의 진보를 모든 사람에게 나타내야 합니다., To become an example for others

이 모든 일은 딤전 4장 12,13절이하에 있는 오직 말 과 행실과 사랑과 믿음과 정절에 대하여 믿는 자에게본이되며,주님이 오실 때까지 읽는 것과 권하는것 과 가르치는 것에 착념하는 것입니다.

12 Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. 13 Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching.

2)     많은 열매를 맺을 때(요15:1-8) To bear much fruit

하나님은 농부요 예수님은 포도나무요 성도는 포도나무 가지라 하였습니다.

예수님이 우리안에 우리가 예수그리스도안에 거할 때 사람은 많은 열매를

맺나니,(요15:5) 성도가 그리스도안에  거하고 그리스도말씀이 성도안에 거하면 

무엇이든지 구하는 대리 이루어 주시며 성도는 많은 열매를 맺을 수 있으므로 하나님이 영광을 받으시며 성도는 예수그리스도의 제자가 됩니다.(요15:7,8)

5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. (John 15:4-8)

2.     자신 과 내게 듣는자들의 구원완성을 위하여

To affirm our salvation and the salvation of those that hear us.

우리가 복음을 듣고, 믿고, 회개하여 예수님이 살아계시는 하나님의 아들이심을 고백하고 세례를 받아 하나님의 자녀가 되어(롬8:14,15,16) 구원받었습니다..다시 강림하시는 주님을 함께 맞이하기 위해서

14무릇 하나님의 영으로 인도함을 받는 그들은 곧 하나님의 아들이라 15너희는 다시 무서워하는

종의 영을 받지 아니하였고 양자의 영을 받았으므로 아바 아버지라 부르짖느니라 16성령이 친히

 우리 영으로 더불어 우리가 하나님의 자녀인 것을 증거하시나17자녀이면 또한 후사 곧 하나님의 후사요 그리스도와 함께한 후사니 우리가 그와 함께 영광을 받기 위하여 고난도 함께 받아야 될 것이니라 (로마서 8:14-17)

 14For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. 15The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” 16The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. (Romans 8:14-17)

이제는 내가 산것이 아니요 오직 내안에 그리스도께서 사신 것입니다. 이제는 내가 육체 가운데 사는 것은  나를 사랑하사 나르 위하여 자기 몸을 버리신  하나님의 아들을 믿는 믿음 안에서 살아가는 것입니다. 그러므로 우리는 하나님과 관계가 끈어지지 않도록 그리스도안에서 많은 열매를 맺어가며 하나님께 영광을 돌리고 예수님의 제자로서 자부심을 갖고 살아가야 합니다. (갈라디아서 2:20)

20내가 그리스도와 함께 십자가에 못 박혔나니 그런즉 이제는 내가 산 것이 아니요 오직 내 안에 그리스도께서 사신 것이라 이제 내가 육체 가운데 사는 것은 나를 사랑하사 나를 위하여 자기 몸을 버리신 하나님의 아들을 믿는 믿음 안에서 사는 것이라 (갈 2:20)

C.    어떻게 선한 일군이 될 수 있습니까?

How can we become good ministers?

1.    하나님의 말씀과 선한 교훈으로 자신의 신앙인격을 키우자

Develop and mature our spiritual self through the word of God.

14그러나 너는 배우고 확신한 일에 거하라 네가 뉘게서 배운 것을 알며 15또 네가 어려서부터 성경을 알았나니

성경은 능히 너로 하여금 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 믿음으로 말미암아 구원에 이르는 지혜가 있게 하느니라 16모든 성경은 하나님의 감동으로 된 것으로 교훈과 책망과 바르게 함과 의로 교육하기에 유익하니 17이는 하나님의 사람으로 온전케 하며 모든 선한 일을 행하기에 온전케 하려 함이니라

   14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2Timothy 3:14-17)

 

2.     경건의 연습을 한다.( 딤전4:7) Practice what we preach.

“망령되고 허탄한  신화를 버리고 오직 경건의 연습을 하면 됩니다. (딤전 4:7)

   7 Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly.

야고보서 1:27  경건의 연습은 하나님앞에서 정결하고 더러움이 없는 경건은 고아와 과부를      그 환란중에 돌아보고 나를 지켜 세속에 풀들지 않는 것이라고  야고보 사도를

말하였습니다.

27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. (James 1:27)

 

3.  모든 사람의 본이 되자. (딤전 4:12)

Become good examples to others.

1)     말에 본이되라.

Be grounded upon the word of God.

긍정적인 말은 . 듣는 사람으로 하여금 마음의 편안함을 갖게 합니다.  

부정적인 말은 듣는 사람의 마음이 불편해 집니다. 그러므로 칭찬하는 말을 해야 합다.

베드로사도가 주는 본이 되는 마음은?

베드로전서4:11만일 누가 말하려면 하나님의 말씀을 하는것 같이 하고 누가 봉사하려면 하나님의 공급하시는 힘으로 하는것 같이 하라 이는 범사에 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님이 영광을 받으시게 하려 함이니 그에게 영광과 권능이 세세에 무궁토록 있느니라 아멘 12사랑하는 자들아 너희를 시련하려고 오는 불시험을 이상한 일 당하는것 같이 이상히 여기지 말고

11 If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.  12Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. (1Peter 4:11,12)

2)  행실에 본이되라

Act in accordance with the word of God.

행실은 실지로 드러나는 행동으로서 사람의 말과 행동, 생활 태도를 아울러 이르는 말입니다.  사람이사회적인 규범이나 도덕적 기준에 따라 생활하는 방식이나 태도를 말합니다.

성경적인 의미로는 바울이 말한 것과 같이 “내가 그리스도를 본받는자 된 것 같이 너희들은 나를 본받으라는(고전 11:1) 자신의 드러나는 행동입니다. “1 Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ. (1Corinthians 11:1)

예수님의 제자들을 발을 씻어주시는 일, . (요13:1-5).

4so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. 5After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him. (John 13:4,5)

예수님은 섬김을 받으려 이땅에 오신 것이 아니라 우리를 섬기려하고 자신을 대속제물로 드리려 오신 것입니다;( 막10:45)

45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

(Mak 10:45)

3)  사랑에 본이되라

Love as Jesus showed us how to love.

예수님께서는  새 계명을 우리에게 주시면서

“새계명을 너희에게 주노니 서로 사랑하라 내가 너희를 사랑 한 것 같이 너희도 서로 사랑하라

너희가 서로 사랑하면 모든 사람이 내 제자인줄 알리라(요13:34,35)

34“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34,35)

자신을 드려 죄인을 살리시는 헌신적인 사랑입니다.

 

4)  믿음에 본이되라

Have faith that is exemplary for others.

하나님이 기뻐하시는 믿음을 갖어라.  (히11:6)

6믿음이 없이는 기쁘시게 못하나니 하나님께 나아가는 자는 반드시 그가 계신 것과 또한 그가 자기를 찾는 자들에게 상 주시는 이심을 믿어야 할찌니라

6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Hebrews 11:6)

1)      믿음은 바라는 것들의 실상이요 보지 못한 것들의 증거입니다.

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. 2This is what the ancients were commended for. (Hebrews 11:6)

2)      21약속하신 그것을 또한 능히 이루실 줄을 확신하였으니(롬 4:21)

21 being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. (Romans 4:21)

3)      나는 내게 말씀하신 그대로 되리라고 하나님을 믿노라(행27:25)

25S o keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me.

.(Acts 27:25)

 

4.     받은 은사를 조심하여 지켜나가자

With caution, make the most of the talents that have been given to you.

디모데전서 4:14절에 조심없이 말며라고 하였는데 “이는 항상 주의하여 행동하라”는 뜻입니다.

또한 조심하라는 정신을 차리라, 자신을 지키라, 대적을 경계하라 는 뜻입니다.

베드로전서 4:10,

각각 은사를 받은대로 하나님의 각양 은혜를 맡은 선한 청지기 같이 서로 봉사하라.

10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. (1Peter 4:10)

 

우리에게 주시는 교훈

Today’s Lesson

1.      그리스도의 선한일군이 됩시다.

선한 일군은 하나님이 기뻐하시며 영광을 받으십니다. 또한 선한 일군은 예수님의 제자가 되어 하나님 마음에 합한 자가 됩니다.

Let’s become good ministers and workers of Christ Jesus. Good ministers please God and naturally glorify Him. Consequently, those that are good ministers become worthy to be called disciples of Christ Jesus.
