마태복음 25:31-46

마태복음 25

31인자가 자기 영광으로 모든 천사와 함께 올때에 자기 영광의 보좌에 앉으리니

32모든 민족을 그 앞에 모으고 각각 분별하기를 목자가 양과 염소를 분별하는것 같이 하여 33양은 그 오른편에, 염소는 왼편에 두리라 34그 때에 임금이 그 오른편에 있는 자들에게 이르시되 내 아버지께 복 받을 자들이여 나아와 창세로부터 너희를 위하여 예비된 나라를 상속하라 35내가 주릴 때에 너희가 먹을 것을 주었고 목마를 때에 마시게 하였고 나그네 되었을 때에 영접하였고 36벗었을 때에 옷을 입혔고 병들었을 때에 돌아보았고 옥에 갇혔을 때에 와서 보았느니라 37이에 의인들이 대답하여 가로되 주여 우리가 어느 때에 주의 주리신 것을 보고 공궤하였으며 목마르신 것을 보고 마시게 하였나이까 38어느 때에 나그네 되신 것을 보고 영접하였으며 벗으신 것을 보고 옷 입혔나이까 39어느 때에 병드신 것이나 옥에 갇히신 것을 보고 가서 뵈었나이까 하리니 40임금이 대답하여 가라사대 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 너희가 여기 내 형제 중에 지극히 작은 자 하나에게 한 것이 곧 내게 한 것이니라 하시고 41또 왼편에 있는 자들에게 이르시되 저주를 받은 자들아 나를 떠나 마귀와 그 사자들을 위하여 예비된 영영한 불에 들어가라 42내가 주릴 때에 너희가 먹을 것을 주지 아니하였고 목마를 때에 마시게 하지 아니하였고 43나그네 되었을 때에 영접하지 아니하였고 벗었을 때에 옷 입히지 아니하였고 병들었을 때와 옥에 갇혔을 때에 돌아보지 아니하였느니라 하시니 44저희도 대답하여 가로되 주여 우리가 어느 때에 주의 주리신 것이나 목마르신 것이나 나그네 되신 것이나 벗으신 것이나 병드신 것이나 옥에 갇히신 것을 보고 공양치 아니하더이까 45이에 임금이 대답하여 가라사대 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 이 지극히 작은 자 하나에게 하지 아니한 것이 곧 내게 하지 아니한 것이니라 하시리니 46저희는 영벌에, 의인들은 영생에 들어가리라 하시니라.

The Sheep and the Goats

31“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44“They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ 45“He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’46“Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” (Matthew 25:31-46)

 

의인과 악인의 심판 Judgment of the righteous and the wicked

예수님의 준엄한 심판대 앞에서 모든 민족이 재판을 받을 때 의인들은 우편에 저주받을 자들은 좌편에 분류히놓고 심판이 이루어진다는 내용입니다.

 

오른편에 있는 의인들은 차엣부터 예비한 나라가 상속되고, 왼편에 있는 자들은 마귀를 위하여 예비한 영영한 불에 들어가라고 주님은 엄명하셨습니다. 그런데 다 같이 하나님의 이름을 부르는 신자가 왜 거리가 먼 결과를 거져왔는가 의인들이 영생을 얻은 원인을 일이 보겠습니다.

 

1.   의인이 복받는 이유  Reason to be blessed

1)   아버지께 복받은 자는 보혈의 공로와 믿음으로(엡1:3-8)

Those who are blessed by the Father through the merit of the blood and faith

“찬송하리로다 하나님 곧 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 아버지께서 그리스도 안에서 하늘에 속한 모든 신령한 복으로 우리에게 복 주시되4곧 창세 전에 그리스도 안에서 우리를 택하사 우리로 사랑 안에서 그 앞에 거룩하고 흠이 없게 하시려고 5그 기쁘신 뜻대로 우리를 예정하사 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 자기의 아들들이 되게 하셨으니 6이는 그의 사랑하시는 자 안에서 우리에게 거저 주시는바 그의 은혜의 영광을 찬미하게 하려는 것이라 7우리가 그리스도 안에서 그의 은혜의 풍성함을 따라 그의 피로 말미암아 구속 곧 죄 사함을 받았으니 8이는 그가 모든 지혜와 총명으로 우리에게 넘치게 하사 9그 뜻의 비밀을 우리에게 알리셨으니 곧 그 기쁘심을 따라 그리스도 안에서 때가 찬 경륜을 위하여 예정하신 것이니 10하늘에 있는 것이나 땅에 있는 것이 다 그리스도 안에서 통일되게 하려 하심이라

Praise for Spiritual Blessings in Christ

3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, 9he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.

2)   믿음을 실천하며 행하는 믿음을 갖은 신앙자(약2:14-26)

A believer who practices faith and has faith

만약에 사람이 믿음이 있노라 하고 행함이 없으면 무슨 이익이 있으리요 형제가 헐벗고 일용할 양식이 없는데 평안히 가라 더웁게 하라 빼부르게 하라 하며 쓸것을 주지 않으면 무슨 이익이 있느냐 이와같이 행함이 없는 믿음은 죽은 것이라 혹 너는 믿음이 있고 나는 행함이 있으니 행함이 없는 네 믿음을 내게 보이라 . . .  행함이 없는 믿음은 죽은 것이라

 

3)   행한 선을 기억하지 않고 능동적적으로 선을 행하는 자(마6:1)

Those who do good without remembering the good they have done

1사람에게 보이려고 그들 앞에서 너희 의를 행치 않도록 주의하라 그렇지 아니하면 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지께 상을 얻지 못하느니라

1“Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.(Matthew 6:1)

4)   지극히 작은 소자에게 대접한것이 주님을 대접하는 자(마25:10)

Those who treat the Lord are those who treat the least of them

10저희가 사러 간 동안에 신랑이 오므로 예비하였던 자들은 함께 혼인 잔치에 들어가고 문은 닫힌지라

10“But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.

(Matthew 25:10)

 

2.   의인이 행한 선행 Good deeds of the righteous

1)   주님이 주릴때 먹을 것을 주었고(왕상 17:13-15

I was hungry and you gave me something to eat

13엘리야가 저에게 이르되 두려워 말고 가서 네 말대로 하려니와 먼저 그것으로 나를 위하여 작은 떡 하나를 만들어 내게로 가져오고 그 후에 너와 네 아들을 위하여 만들라 14이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 말씀이 나 여호와가 비를 지면에 내리는 날까지 그 통의 가루는 다하지 아니하고 그 병의 기름은 없어지지 아니하리라 하셨느니라 15저가 가서 엘리야의 말대로 하였더니 저와 엘리야와 식구가 여러날 먹었으나

13Elijah said to her, “Don’t be afraid. Go home and do as you have said. But first make a small loaf of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and then make something for yourself and your son. 14For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘The jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the Lord sends rain on the land.’  ”15She went away and did as Elijah had told her. So there was food every day for Elijah and for the woman and her family. 16For the jar of flour was not used up and the jug of oil did not run dry, in keeping with the word of the Lord spoken by Elijah. 17Some time later the son of the woman who owned the house became ill. He grew worse and worse, and finally stopped breathing.

2)   주님이 목마를 때 마실것을 주었고(마10:42)

I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink

42또 누구든지 제자의 이름으로 이 소자 중 하나에게 냉수 한 그릇이라도 주는 자는 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 그 사람이 결단코 상을 잃지 아니하리라 하시니라

42And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.” (Matthew 10:42)

3)   주님이 나그네되었을 때 영접하였고(욥31:32)

I was a stranger and you invited me in

32나그네로 거리에서 자게 하지 아니하고 내가 행인에게 내 문을 열어 주었었노라

32but no stranger had to spend the night in the street, for my door was always open to the traveler—(Job 31:32)

4)   주님이 벗었을 때 입혀 주었고 (욥29:16)

I needed clothes and you clothed me

16빈궁한 자의 아비도 되며 생소한 자의 일을 사실하여 주었으며

16I was a father to the needy;I took up the case of the stranger.(Job 29:16)

5)   주님이 병들었을 때 돌아보았고(눅10:33-34)

I was sick and you looked after me

33어떤 사마리아인은 여행하는 중 거기 이르러 그를 보고 불쌍히 여겨 34가까이 가서 기름과 포도주를 그 상처에 붓고 싸매고 자기 짐승에 태워 주막으로 데리고 가서 돌보아 주고

33But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. 34He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him

(Luke 10:33,34)

6)   주님이 옥에 갇혔을 때 찾아 보았습니다.(히10:34)

I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

 

3.   하나님의 상급

God’s reward

 

1)   권능의 우편에 특별히 앉게 하고 (시45:9)

To sit specially at the right hand of power.

9왕의 귀비 중에는 열왕의 딸이 있으며 왕후는 오빌의 금으로 꾸미고 왕의 우편에 서도다

9Daughters of kings are among your honored women; at your right hand is the royal bride in gold of Ophir. (Psalms 45:9)

2)   하나님께 가까이 나갈 수 있게 하고(계21:3)

To draw close to God

3내가 들으니 보좌에서 큰 음성이 나서 가로되 보라 하나님의 장막이 사람들과 함께 있으매 하나님이 저희와 함께 wnwn 저희는 하나님의 백성이 되고 하나님은 친히 저희와 함께 계셔서

3And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.(Revelation 21:3)

3)   창세부터 예비한 나/23를 상속하게 합니다.(히11:16)

To inherit the kingdom prepared from the foundation of the world.

6믿음이 없이는 기쁘시게 못하나니 하나님께 나아가는 자는 반드시 그가 계신 것과 또한 그가 자기를 찾는 자들에게 상 주시는 이심을 믿어야 할찌니라

6And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

(Hebrews 11:6)

 

우리는 매일 믿음의 생활속에서 충성하여 주님 재림하실 때 영생의 부활을 할 수 있도록 성화의 생활을 기쁨으로, 천국을 소망하면서 떨리는 마음으로 준비를 한다면, 주님앞에 설 때 주님께 칭찬받아  상급을 받을 수 있는 하나님의 귀한 자녀가 되기를 기도합시다.

If we are faithful in the life of faith every day and prepare to live the life of sanctification with joy and trembling hearts while hoping for the kingdom of heaven so that we can resurrect eternal life when the Lord returns, we will be praised and rewarded by the Lord when we stand before the Lord. Let's pray that we can become precious children of God.7
