Take hold of eternal life

 

디모데전서 6:11-14

11오직 너 하나님의 사람아 이것들을 피하고 의와 경건과 믿음과 사랑과 인내와 온유를 좇으며 12믿음의 선한 싸움을 싸우라 영생을 취하라 이를 위하여 네가 부르심을 입었고 많은 증인 앞에서 선한 증거를 증거하였도다 13만물을 살게 하신 하나님 앞과 본디오 빌라도를 향하여 선한 증거로 증거하신 그리스도 예수 앞에서 내가 너를 명하노니 14우리 주 예수 그리스도 나타나실 때까지 점도 없고 책망 받을 것도 없이 이 명령을 지키라

11But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. 12Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 13In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, wh2o while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you 14to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, (1 Timothy 6:11-14)

A.    영생이란 ?

What is eternal life?

영원한 생명입니다.

영생이라는 말은 문자적으로 두가지 의미가 있습니다.

첫째, 시간적으로 끝없이 지속되는 생명을 의미하고,

둘째, 질적으로 인간의 삶과는 다른 영적인 삶을 말합니다.

공관복음처럼 내세에 누릴 영원한 축복도 의미하지만 현재에 누리는 축복을 많이 강조하고 있습니다.   영생은 살아있는 것이 끝난 후의 단순한 시간연장이 아니라 영원한 하나님의 뜻안에서 끝이 없는 영원한 삶입니다.

 영생은 요한복음 3장에서 시작하여 요한복음 6장에서 계속하며, 요한일서1:1-4에서  말하는 그리스도 안에 영생의 근원이 있음을 묘사하고 있습니다. 이 영생은 육신적인 생명과 대조되어 나타나고 있습니다.

바로 예수그리스도께서 선포하신 말씀이 영생의 말씀입니다.

요한복음의 기록에  영생은 예수 그리스도를 알고 그의 말씀을 믿고 순종하는 자에게 주어진다 하였습니다.(요3:36; 5:24; 17:3)

요17:3영생은 곧 유일하신 참 하나님과 그의 보내신 자 예수 그리스도를 아는 것이니이다

3Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

 (John 17:3

요3:35,36아버지께서 아들을 사랑하사 만물을 다 그 손에 주셨으니 36아들을 믿는 자는 영생이 있고 아들을 순종치 아니하는 자는 영생을 보지 못하고 도리어 하나님의 진노가 그 위에 머물러 있느니라 35 The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands. 36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them. (John3:35,36)

요5:24 내가 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 내 말을 듣고 또 나 보내신 이를 믿는 자는 영생을 얻었고 심판에 이르지 아니하나니 사망에서 생명으로 옮겼느니라

24“Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life. (John 5:24)

이는 예수님을 진실하게 믿는 자들이 영생을 받을 수 있다는 말씀입니다.

 

B.    왜 영생을 취해야 합니까?

Why should we take hold of eternal life?

1.     하나님의 뜻에 순종하기위해서 (요3:16)

So we can be obedient to God’s will.

16하나님이 세상을 이처럼 사랑하사 독생자를 주셨으니 이는 저를 믿는 자마다 멸망치

않고 영생을 얻게 하려 하심이니라. 17하나님이 그 아들을 세상에 보내신 것은 세상을 심판하려 하심이 아니요 저로 말미암아 세상이 구원을 받게하려 하심이라 18저를 믿는 자는 심판을 받지 아니하는 것이요 믿지 아니하는 자는 하나님의 독생자의 이름을 믿지 아니하므로 벌써 심판을 받은 것이니라

 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. (John 3:16-18)

 

2.      하나님의 자녀로 살기 위해서

So that we can live as God’s children

우리가 영생을 얻었을 때 우리는 하나님의 자녀가 되어 하나님을 아바아버지라 부르게 됩니다.(롬 8:15,16)

14무릇 하나님의 영으로 인도함을 받는 그들은 곧 하나님의 아들이라 15너희는 다시 무서워하는 종의 영을 받지 아니하였고 양자의 영을 받았으므로 아바 아버지라 부르짖느니라 16성령이 친히 우리 영으로 더불어 우리가 하나님의 자녀인 것을 증거하시나니

14For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. 15The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” 16The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. (Romans 8:14-16)

자녀이면 예수님과 함께 하나님의 집 맡은 자의 사환이 아니라 아들로 충성할 수 있게 되었으니 우리가 소망의 담대함과 자랑을 끝까지 견고히 잡으면 하나님의 집 주인이 된다 하였습니다.(히3:1-6) 1Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest. 2He was faithful to the one who appointed him, just as Moses was faithful in all God’s house. 3Jesus has been found worthy of greater honor than Moses, just as the builder of a house has greater honor than the house itself. 4For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything. 5“Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s house,” bearing witness to what would be spoken by God in the future. 6But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory. (Hebrews 3:1-6)

성도는 예수그리스도를 영접하므로 하나님의 자녀가 되는 권세를 얻게 되어 하나님이 맡겨 주시 명령을 수행하는 자 되어야 합니다.

12영접하는 자 곧 그 이름을 믿는 자들에게는  하나님의 자녀가 되는 권세를 주셨으니 . (요1:12) 12Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God (John 1:12)

 

3. 영생을 위해 부르심을 입었기 때문입니다. (딤전 6:12)

Because we have been called to eternal life.

바울은 디모데에게  믿음의 선한 싸움을 싸우라, 영생을 취하라 한것은 성도는 영생을 위해 부르심을 받았을뿐만 아니라 많은 증인 앞에서 선한 증거를 증거하였기 때문이라 하였습니다.

바울은 디모데에게 보낸 두번째 서신에서도 디모데에게 확신을 주며 부탁하였습니다.

내 아들아 그러므로 네가그리스도 예수안에 있는 은혜 속에서 강하고 또 네가 많은 증인 앞에서 내게 들은 바를 충성된 사람들에게 부탁하라 저희가 또 다른 사람들을 가르칠 수 있으리라(딤후 2:1,2) Paul said to Timothy;

1 You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others. (2 Timothy 1-2)

 

C.    어떻게 영생을 취할 수 있습니까?

How can we take hold of eternal life?

1.     하나님의 자녀가 되어라

Become God’s children.

1)     그리스도의 말씀을 들어라. Hear (롬10:17) 믿음은 들음에서 나며 들음은 그리스도의 말씀으로 나옵니다.  17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.

2)     말씀을 믿어라. Believe ( 막16:16) 믿고 세례를 받는 자는 구원을 얻을 것이요 믿지 않는 사람은 정죄를 받으리라 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned (mark 16:16)

3)     회개하여라. Repent (행2:38) 지금까지 예수그리스도가 하나님의 자녀인것을 믿지 않은 것을 먼저 회개 해야 합니다. “38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (

Acts 2:38)

4)     고백하라 Confess (마16:16) 주님은 그리스도요 살아계시는 하나님의 아들입니다.를 고백해야 합니다.

16Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” (Matthew 16:16)

5)     침례를 받고 구원 받으라 Be baptized (마28:19,20) 모든 족속으로 제자를 삼고 아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 침례를 주고 주님이 우리에게 분부한 모든 것을 가르쳐 지키게 하라

19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19,20)

하나님은 죄를 사해 주시고 성령을 선물로 주셔서 성령의 열매를 맺어가라 하십니다.

 

2.     주님과 동행하는 삶을 살아라

Walk with God always in your life.

성령님이 계심을 믿고 성령의 열매를 맺어 갈 때, 기쁨의 삶을 살게 됩니다, 또한 이 기쁜 소식을 전하게 됩니다. "주님 말씀하시면 내가 나아가리라, 주님 뜻이 아니면 내가

멈춰 서리라 하는 마음으로 하나님의 뜻에 순종하며 오늘 하루를 나에게 주신 것에 감사하며 살아갑니다.

미가서 6:8절에 보면 “여호와 하나님께서 우리에게 구하시는 것이 오직 정의를 행하며 인자를 사랑하며 겸손하게 우리 하나님과 함께 행하는 것이라” 했습니다.

하나님과 함께 한다는 것은 하나님과 함께 생각하고, 하나님과 함께 계획하고, 하나님과 함께 일하여 우리 모두가 하나님과 동행하는 에녹 같은 하나님을 기쁘시게 하는 믿음의 사람이 되기를 소망하는 것입니다.

 

3.     매일 하나님의 말씀을 묵상하라.(딤후3:15-17)

Read God’s words daily.

예수그리스도안에 있는 지혜로 구원에 이르게 합니다. 말씀은 우리를 교훈하고 책망하고 바르게 하고 의로 교육하여 유익을 줍니다.

또한 우리로 하나님의 사람으로 온전하게 하며 모든 선한 일을 행하기에 온전하게 해 주십니다.

15and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, 17so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:15-17)

 

4.     하나님의 뜻을 행하며 살아라 (살전 5:16-24)

Live a life of fulfilling God’s will.

항상 기뻐하고, 쉬지말고 기도하고 범사에 감사하는 것이 그리스도예수안에서 하나님의 뜻이라 하였습니다.

이 일을 위하여 성령의 도움을 받으며,  하나님 말씀을 그대로 순종하며, 범사에 헤아려 좋은 것을 취하고 악은 모양이라도 버리라 하셨습니다. 그러면 하나님께서 다음과 같은 복을 주십니다.

23평강의 하나님이 친히 너희로 온전히 거룩하게 하시고 또 너희 온 영과 혼과 몸이 우리 주 예수 그리스도 강림하실 때에 흠없게 보전되기를 원하노라 24너희를 부르시는 이는 미쁘시니 그가 또한 이루시리라

16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 1 8give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not treat prophecies with contempt 21 but test them all; hold on to what is good, 22 reject every kind of evil.  And then, God gives these blessing.

 23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-24)

 

우리에게 주시는 교훈

Today’s Lesson

1.     하나님 아버지의 뜻은  아들을 보고 믿는 자마다 영생을 얻는 것이라 했습니다. 이는 마지막 날에 예수께서 강림하셔서 우리를 살리려 하심이라 했습니다.(요한복음 6:40)

40 For my father’s will is that everyone who looks to the son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.” (John 6:40)

 

2.     그래서 예수께서 하늘로서 내려온 것은 예수님의 뜻을 행하려 하심이 아니요(6:39) 하나님의 뜻을  행하려 함이니 하나님의 뜻은 예수님께 허락하신 자 중에 하나라도 잃어버리지 아니하고 마지막 날에  다시 살리는 것이라 했습니다.

38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. (John 6:38,39)

 

3.     우리가 살아가는 동안 어떠한 환경에 있든지 우리는 영생을 취해야 합니다.

No matter what circumstances we may face, let’s put all our effort to take hold of eternal life
