But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in
your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); because, if
you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your
heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But
someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your
faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my
works. ( James 2 : 17-18 ESV)
