Be ready to accept God's invitation

God invited you and me

      •““For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son,
         so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal
         life.” ‭‭John‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭NLT‬‬
     •God's invitation is established in accordance with God's will by His love
     •invitation is the Gospel
     •“When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died
        for us sinners. Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright
        person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who
        is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending
        Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. And since we have been
        made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us
        from God’s condemnation.” Romans‬ ‭5:6-9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Only those who accept the invitation can partake in the festivities, celebration and feast
     •Many are invited but few are chosen
     •your acceptance is key to partaking

You must be dressed in proper attire for the festivities
     •what is proper attire? It is a representation of preparedness
     •“To celebrate the occasion, he gave a great banquet in Esther’s honor for
       all his nobles and officials, declaring a public holiday for the provinces
       and giving generous gifts to everyone.” Esther‬ ‭2:18‬ ‭NLT‬‬
     •it is accepting Jesus Christ as our savior - “Jesus told him, “I am the way,
       the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”
       John‬ ‭14:6‬ ‭N  LT‬‬

What happens to those who don't accept the invitation and do not attend the  feast in Heaven?
     •“When people are saying, “Everything is peaceful and secure,” then
       disaster will fall on them as suddenly as a pregnant woman’s labor pains
       begin. And there will be no escape.“ ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬
     •“They will be punished with eternal destruction, forever separated from the
       Lord and from his glorious power.” 2 Thessalonians‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭NLT‬‬
     •they will be deemed unworthy in God's eyes
      •thrown away and deemed useless - ““You are the salt of the earth. But
       what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will
        be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. “You are the light of
        the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a
       lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand,
        where it gives light to everyone in the house.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:13-15‬ ‭NLT‬‬
     •they will be left eternally silent
     •“And Jehu instructed the keeper of the wardrobe, “Be sure that every
       worshiper of Baal wears one of these robes.” So robes were given to
       them.” 2 Kings‬ ‭10:22‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Recognize that you have been invited. Be joyful and grateful for the invitation and be ready to attend. Through the Gospel we have been invited to the feast. We must prepare ourselves according to God's will. Let us accept the invitation our to joy and happiness. Life in this world is not everything. We must keep our focus on the final destination in His Kingdom. Wear the proper wardrobe. He gave you instructions on how, so follow His guidance. God will receive you as His guest. Let us rejoice for the invitation to the feast in Heaven.
