New Life of a Christian
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to
present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to
God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this
world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by
testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and
acceptable and perfect. For by the grace given to me I say to
everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he
ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to
the measure of faith that God has assigned. For as in one body we
have many members, and the members do not all have the same
function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and
individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ
according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in
proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who
teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the
one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal;
the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness. Let love be
genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one
another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing
honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

We should be giving our best to the Lord
Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the
splendor of holiness. ( Psalm 29 : 2 ESV)
Who am I? Know thyself
know and accept your limitation without God, know that we are
weak and limited but God our Father is strong
be humble - don't overestimate your abilities and boast about it

Know your role and share in faith
we are given different gifts and roles with different
responsibilities
with each and all the functionalities we must fulfill to become
one body
if this one body, Jesus Christ is the head… We are one body in
Christ - Ephesians 5:24
What is our responsibility as Christians?
we must give our body for worship
Give all of ourselves for God
give our lives for God
we must be dedicated to please God -Hebrews 11:6
Walk in faith - Rom 4:21
give righteous sacrifice - Isaiah 55:7
dedicate our lives as living sacrifice, holy and willing
Sincerely dedicating ourselves to the Lord and trusting God

act in love
Our love should be unconditional and honest, not of ulterior
motives
love of Christ must hates evil
love of Christ is doing good
work hard to serve the Lord - to serve the Lord is to love
what is the duty of Christians?
be hopeful
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be
no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain
anymore, for the former things have passed away.” ( Revelation
21 : 4 ESV)
be patient as you persevere through tribulations
pray constantly
do good works and be generous
God grants us various gifts as Christians
In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of
your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised
Holy Spirit, ( Ephesians 1 : 13 ESV)
prophesy
service and training
authority and overseeing/ruling
ability to serve in charity and compassion
Our new life as Christians is to live with the guidance of the Lord
for His will and not of the temptations of the world, empowered
knowing that God has blessed us with gifts and abilities to be
victorious!
