미지의 새로운 소망의 길
An unknown new path of hope
여호수아 3:1-6
1여호수아가 아침에 일찌기 일어나서 이스라엘 사람들로 더불어 싯딤에서 떠나 요단에 이르러서는 건너지 아니하고 거기서 유숙하니라 2삼일 후에 유사들이 진중으로 두루 다니며 3백성에게 명하여 가로되 너희는 레위 사람 제사장들이 너희 하나님 여호와의 언약궤 메는 것을 보거든 너희 곳을 떠나 그 뒤를 좇으라 4그러나 너희와 그 사이 상거가 이천 규빗쯤 되게 하고 그것에 가까이 하지는 말라 그리 하면 너희 행할 길을 알리니 너희가 이전에 이 길을 지나보지 못하였음이니라 5여호수아가 또 백성에게 이르되 너희는 스스로 성결케 하라 여호와께서 내일 너희 가운데 기사를 행하시리라 6여호수아가 또 제사장들에게 일러 가로되 언약궤를 메고 백성 앞서 건너라 하매 곧 언약궤를 메고 백성 앞서 나아가니라
1Early in the morning Joshua and all the Israelites set out from Shittim and went to the Jordan, where they camped before crossing over. 2After three days the officers went throughout the camp, 3giving orders to the people: “When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and the Levitical priests carrying it, you are to move out from your positions and follow it. 4Then you will know which way to go, since you have never been this way before. But keep a distance of about two thousand cubits between you and the ark; do not go near it.” 5Joshua told the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.” 6Joshua said to the priests, “Take up the ark of the covenant and pass on ahead of the people.” So they took it up and went ahead of them.

우리는 지나온 과거에 대해서 희미하게 기억할 수 있으나, 앞으로 달려갈 여정에 대해서는 아무것도 알 수 없습니다. 그러면, 이 미지의 새로운길이 어떠한 길인지 잠시 생각해 보려고 합니다.
1. 하나님이 약속하신 성취의 길
The path to fulfillment promised by God.
하나님은 선민들에게 요단강을 건너가 가나안 땅을 기업으로 주시겠다고 약속하셨습니다. 이 미지의 새 여정에서 선민들에게 시련될 약속은 세가지가 있습니다.
1) 하나님이 함께 하시며 God is with you
2) 보호하여 주시는 길 The way of protection
· 보호는 실족하지 아니하고 Protection does not fail;
· 상하지 아니하고 • No damage
· 환난을 면하게 하여 주시는 길이라 했습니다. It is said to be the way to escape from tribulation.
· 하나님이 도우사 승리를 주시는 길이라 했습니다. • It is said that God will help us and give us victory.
o 이 승리의 길은 당할 자가 없도록 강하고, This path to victory is so strong that no one can overcome it,
o 담대하여, 파괴하고 정복하는 길이라했습니다. He was bold and said that the path was to destroy and conquer.
o 가나안7족속을 멸하고, 선민에게 승리가 보장되는 길이요This is the way to destroy the 7 tribes of Canaan and ensure victory for the chosen people.

o 하나님이 원하시는 기업의 땅을 차지하는 길이라고 했습니다. It was said that it was the way to take possession of the land that God wanted.
o 이곳은 선민들에게 영원한 거주지가 되고 안식처가 될 낙원이었습니다. This was a paradise that would become an eternal residence and sanctuary for the chosen people.
2. 이스라엘 민족이 새 역사를 창조하는 길.
The path for the Israelites to create new history.
하나님의 약속을 굳게 믿고 선민들이 걸어가는 이 미지의 여정은 새역사 창조를 위한 길입니다.
가나안의 우상종교를 타파하고 하나님 중심의 새종교 창조의 길입니다.
가나안의 낡은 윤리와 도덕을 파괴하고, 말씀주임의 새 윤리를 창조했습니다.
가나안 민족은 기업을 누릴 가치를 상실하고 선민들에게 새 인간성 수립과 가나안 땅의 주인공이 되게 하셧습니다.
이 미지의 새 여정은 강한 신앙심을 가지고, 법궤를 메고, 자신을 깨끗하게 하고 가야 합니다.
우리들은 이 희망적인 미지의 새 여정에서 낙오되지 아니하고 신앙의 용기를 총동원하여 힘차게 전진하고 전진하여 승리하기를 기도합니다.
