Watching seeds germinate is a wonderful activity for children, especially when the seeds sprout quickly. Alfalfa ( Medicago Sativa) is an easy to cultivate seed which should begin to sprout within a week. Sprinkle a tiny amount of alfalfa seeds onto a moist paper towel to observe the seeds germinate and grow.
What you'll need:
A small packet of Alfalfa seeds (about 1.5g).
A small plate or saucer
Three pieces of paper towel
A spray mister or small water container
How to Grow:
Make sure to wet three pieces of paper towels, then put them on top of one another flat on a platter.
After that, you should drain the water off the plate. The paper towel must be damp but the seeds shouldn't be floating in the water.
Spread the seeds out evenly on the towel.
To prevent the paper towel drying out, place it on a sunny windowill covered with water. You can use a mister or spray bottle to dampen the seeds or you can add a small quantity of water into the saucer using an ice cube or a small cup.
You should check your seeds daily to see how they're growing.
Troubleshooting

You can also try soaking the seeds for a few hours; however, make sure you drain them and rinse them with fresh water before spreading them onto the paper towel.
Too wet: Seeds that are moist could cause their roots and شركات البذور الزراعية فى مصر shoots to rot before they can develop. There is also a chance that mould could begin to develop on the seeds. It's acceptable for the paper towel to get wet, but the seeds shouldn't be floating in water. Each time you water or mist seeds, remove any excess water.
Too cold or hot: Alfalfa grows best at 20-25°C. If you're growing your seeds during winter, keep them in a cool location indoors. It may be necessary to be more frequent in watering your seeds when they are grown in extremely warm temperatures. They'll dry out more quickly.
