A Church guided by God

“Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!” Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.” Jesus replied, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don’t know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking me to show him to you? Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me.” John‬ ‭14:6-10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Thomas' Question: wanted to ask because he wanted to seek the truth
     •Man does not know his own path ◦Thomas was seeking to learn the truth,
      about the unknown
          ◦“Listen! The LORD’s arm is not too weak to save you, nor is his ear too
            deaf to hear you call. It’s your sins that have cut you off from God.
            Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore.”
            Isaiah‬ ‭59:1-2‬ ‭NLT‬‬
          ◦Because Thomas asked, Jesus answered that He is the way and the
           life


Jesus is the answer
     •Jesus is the way
     •Thomas didn't know Jesus was the way until Jesus told him
     •Moses speaks truth
         ◦“So Moses told the people, “You must be careful to obey all the
            commands of the LORD your God, following his instructions in every
            detail. Stay on the path that the LORD your God has commanded you to
            follow. Then you will live long and prosperous lives in the land you are
            about to enter and occupy.” Deuteronomy‬ ‭5:32-33‬ ‭NLT

     •Jesus is the truth
     •Jesus is the life

Those who are guided by God will be with God‬‬
     •Live a faithful life ◦Trust God and His purpose
         ◦“For we live by believing and not by seeing.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬
     •Live a holy life ◦“This is the message we heard from Jesus and now
       declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. So we
       are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual
       darkness; we are not practicing the truth. But if we are living in the light, as
       God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood
       of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭1:5-7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

     •Live a life of obedience and thanksgiving ◦Love God, trust in God's way
       and live according to His will
         ◦love one another
         ◦“Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?”
           Amos‬ ‭3:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬


Submit to God, lay it all down for God to take the wheel, trust Him and love Him. Love one another to lift each other up. Be thankful for each moment tha God grants us.
