성도의 죽음과 삶

우리는 씨앗이 땅에 떨어져 죽지 않으면 새로운 생명이 생겨날 수 없다는 자연의 이치를 알 것입니다. 한알의 밀알이 땅에 떨어져 죽어가는 그 순간 거기에서는 더 많은 생명의 태동이 있게 되는 것입니다.(고전 15:36,37) 땅에 심겨진 씨앗 속에는 죽음과 삶이 함께 있어 필연적으로 연결되고 있습니다. 그런데 이러한 죽음과 삶의 원리가 우리 성도들 안에서도 작용하고 있다는 사실을 압니까?
그리스도를 통해 성도가 되는 과정 속에서 우리는 모두가 그리스도와 함께 장사되고 그리스도가 죽음에서 부활하신 것처럼 살아나는 체험을 한 자들입니다. 이것은 우리 성도도 역시 믿음으로서 그리스도의 십자가의 죽음에 동참하게 되고 또한 그리스도의 영광의 부활에 동참하게 됩니다.
We all acknowledge the law that if a seed does not fall to the ground and die, a new sprout will not come to life. Where one seed falls and dies, many more will come to life in its place. (1 Corinthians 15:36,37) [What you sow is not made alive unless it dies] Within the seed that has fallen to the ground lies both life and death. Did you know that this principal of life and death also applies to us?
Through the process of becoming Christians through Christ, we all died together with Christ Jesus and when he resurrected from death, we too were given life. By faith we too have experienced the death on the cross and the glorious resurrection of Christ.
1. 생명과 사망 Life and Death
1) 생명(삶)이란? What is life?
생명이란 하나님에 의해 창조되고 모든 생명은 하나님께서 주셨습니다.(창1:20-27 상상2:6; 마6:25; 롬4:17; 딤전 6:13) 하나님이 생명의 근원이시기 때문입니다. 그래서 하나님은 우리를 살리시기도 하시고 주신 생명을 거두어 가시므로 죽이기도 하십니다.(욥1:21) 그러므로 사람은 하나님과의 관계를 바로 가져야 합니다. 하나님과 바른 관계를 갖고 하나님께 속할때 장수합니다.(창25:8; 신30:15; 욥기42:17) 그러나 인간이 하나님을 거스리고 불순종했기 때문에 하나님의 심판을 받아 생명의 파멸을 갖어 왔습니다.
All life has been created and given by God. It is because God is the origin of life. This is why he alone gives life and takes life. Therefore, man must, make right, his relationship with God. When we obtain that right relationship with God and we become His, we can thrive in our life. But unfortunately, in many cases, man as turned his back to God and disobeyed God, thus he ends up receiving His judgment and condemnation.
성경은 하나님의 허락 없이는 한 마리의 참새도 땅에 떨어지지 않는다고 했습니다(마10:29) 하물며 인간의 생명에 있어서는 그 생명의 가치야 말로 고귀한 것입니다. 하나님께로부터 받은 생명은 존귀합니다. 그래서 언제나 하나님의 뜻에 순종해야 합니다. 살기 위해서는 하나님의 말씀이 필요하게 되고(신8:3) 하나님 앞에서 공의를 좇아야 할 것이며(신16:20) 죄를 범한 자는 죽음을 당하게 되어 있습니다.(겔18:4)
The bible says that not one bird can fall to the ground without God's permission. Life is precious and so we must honor the life we have received from God. Thus we must follow God's commands. To live, we need God's words, seek what is right and turn away from sin.
사람은 생명의 지배자이신 하나님께 대하여 불순종했기 때문에 죽음을 불러왔으며(롬6:23) 하나님의 뜻을 거역하고, 그 생명이 육적인 욕심을 따름으로 하나님의 노하심을 입어 죽은자로 되었습니다.(엡2:1-3) Man became condemned when he disobeyed God who gave him life and started pursuing his own greed and selfish desires.
하나님은 사랑으로 외아들이신 독생자를 보내주셔서 십자가에 달려 죄를 사해주시어 사람이 다시 사는 길을 주시었습니다. 고로 생명은 그리스도를 통해서 우리에게 주시는 것입니다(롬6:33;14:6) God gave us another chance at life through the sending of his one and only Son to die on the cross. Thus we have received life through Jesus Christ.
2) 죽음(사망)이란? What is death?
사망이란 생명을 잃는 일을 말합니다. 생이 없는 곳에는 죽음도 없습니다. 생과 사는 불가분의 관계입니다.(삼상20:3; 시89:47; 잠 18:21; 전3:2; 렘21:8; 롬3:38; 고전3:22; 빌1:20,21)
a) 죽음이란 인간 모두에게 닥쳐옵니다.
죽음은 인간 모두에게 닥쳐 옵니다. Death means to lose life. Where there is no life, there is also no death. Death and life have an inextricable relationship.
고대 이스라엘에 있어서 죽음은 음부로 내려가는 일이라 했습니다. 음부란 깊은 곳, 흑암과 침묵의 장소이고 죽은 자는 거기서 하나님과 단절되 있는 그늘과 갚은 곳이요 계속 존재한다고 했습니다.(욥10:21,22) 죽음의 세계는 미궁의 세계로 모든 사람에게 공포의 세계입니다.

b)죽음이란 죄의 결과이다.
죽음이란 그저 자연적 생명의 종식이 아니고, 죄의 결과 생겨나는 하나님의 형벌이라는 사상에 유래해 있습니다. 필경은 흙으로 돌아가리니 라는 것입니다.(창3:19)
Death is not just a natural cessation of life, it is the result of sin and God's punishment; the inevitable return to the soil.
c) 죄의 삯은 사망입니다.
신약에서는 죄의 삯은 사망이요(롬6:23) 이는 지상의 생애가 끝난 후, 하나님의 심판으로 멸망하는 것입니다. 모든 사람이 죄를 지었으므로 사망이 모든 사람에게 이르렀느니라” 고 말하고 있습니다.(롬5:12) 이러한 죽음의 지배는 예수 그리스도의 죽으심에 의해 마침내 정복되기에 이러렀습니다.(롬5:8,21)
In the New Testament, it says that the fruit of sin is death (Romans 6:23) After the earth's life expires, God will lay down his judgment. As man has sinned, he will face death. However, by the death of Jesus Christ, the reign of death has been conquered.
복음서는 예수께서 인간에게 생명을 주시는 주이심을 말하고 있습니다.(야이로의 딸 막5:21-43; 나인성 과부의 독자-눅7:11-17; 나사로 요11:5-44). 죽음은 이미 그저 기피해야할 것이 아니라, 축복의 터로 된 아브라함의 품에 가서(녹16:22) 하나님과 교제하고(막12:26,27) 예수와 함께 파라다이스에서 사는 것을 의미하는 경우를 말씀하셨습니다.(눅23:43)
The gospel describes the life that Jesus gives. Death is not something deep and dark to avoid but something we go through in order to commune with God and be in paradise with Jesus Christ.
2. 그리스도와 함께 체험하는 죽음과 삶이란?
What is the death and life we experience with Jesus?
하나님은 죄인들을 사랑하사 독생자를 보내셔서 누구든지 독생자이신 예수님을 믿는 자는 멸망치 않고 영생을 얻게 하셨습니다.(요3:16)

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
바울은 로마 교회에 하신 말씀가운데 “ 예수 그리스도와 합하여 세례를 받은 우리는 예수님의 죽으심과 합하여 세례를 받음으로 그리스도와 함께 장사되었다고 하였습니다. 하나님께서 세상을 사랑하사 독생자를 대속의 제물로 십자가에 죽게 하시고 그리스도를 죽은자 가운데서 살리심과 같이 우리를 또한 새 생명 가운데 살게 해 주셨습니다.
Paul said, "as we have been baptized with Jesus Christ and died with him, we also have been buried with him. As God so loved the world, God allowed his one and only son to die on the cross and as he raised him to life, he also gave us a new life.
성도가 그리스도와 함께 체험하는 죽음과 삶은 무엇입니까?
What is the death and life we experience together with Christ?
1) 죄에 대하여 죽고 의에 대하여 살았습니다,
We die to sin and live for righteousness.
그리스도께서 십자가를 지신것은 우리의 모든 죄를 대속하시기 위함입니다. 그리스도께서 십자가의 형벌을 통해 우리의 모든 죄의 문제를 해결하셨고, 예수 그리스도의 보혈로 우리의 모든 죄를 깨끗히 씻어 주셔서 우리를 의롭게 하셨습니다.
The reason Christ took the cross upon himself was to give us complete remission (forgiveness) of sin. Through the punishment upon the cross, all of our sins were resolved and by his blood, all of our sins were washed clean away. Thus making us righteous.
우리 모두는 그리스도와 함께 십자가에 못박혀 죽음으로 죄인이었던 옛모습을 벗어버리고 그리스도의 의를 힘입어 의인으로 새롭게 태어났습니다. 그러므로 우리 성도들은 이제 더 이상 죄의 종으로, 죄에 얽매여 살지 않아도 됩니다. 우리는 모두 죄에 대하여 의롭게 된 자로서 주님의 의를 따라 살아가야 하는 성도입니다.(롬 6:1-11)
As we have been nailed to the cross and died with Christ, we have discarded our old sinful selves and now have been born again by putting on the righteousness of Christ. Therefore, we are no longer slaves to sin and we do not have to be burdened by the weight of sin. We are not those that must pursue living in the righteous favor of God.
2) 사망에 대하여 죽고 영생에 대하여 살았습니다.
We have died to death and live for eternal life.
그리스도가 십자가에서 죽으신 것은 단지 우리의 죄를 대속하시고 우리를 의롭게 하는 것에서 그치지 않고, 죄의 결과로 죽을 수 밖에 없던 우리를 영원한 생명으로 인도하는 위대한 역사를 이루었습니다.
Jesus didn't stop at washing away our sins and making us righteous. He gave us eternal life.
죄의 삯을 십자가의 죽음으로 대신 치르신 그리스도께서는 끝내 사망 권세를 이기시고 다시 부활하심으로 우리에게새롭고 영원한 생명의 길을 열어 놓으셨습니다. Jesus Christ who died on our behalf and overcame deaths reign and gave us the path to eternal life by his resurrection.
a) 구원을 소망하는 모든 성도들에게 그리스도와 연합하여 사망에 대하여 죽고, 영생에 대하여 살아날 수 있도록 하신 것입니다. For all saints that seek salvation have died to death and now they have been given life eternal through Jesus Christ.
b) 우리는 주님의 구속의 은혜로 죄에 대하여 죽고 의인된 우리는 주님의 구원의 능력으로 사망에 대하여 죽고 영원한 생명을 누리는 복된 성도들이 되었음을 기억해야 합니다(롬5:12-21) By the grace of our Lord, we are dead to sin and have been made righteous. We who have been made righteous, by the power of our Lord's saving grace, we have received the blessing of eternal life.
3) 세상에 대하여 죽고 하나님 나라에 대하여 살았습니다.
We have died to this world and we live for the Kingdom of Heaven
“주는 그리스도요 살아계신 하나님의 아들입니다 고백하고 세례받아 하나님의 자녀가 된 자들은 세상에 대하여 죽은 것이요 하나님에 대하여는 구원의 관계를 이루어 하나님은 나의 아버지가 되고 나는 하나님의 자녀가 되므로 하나님 나라에 들어감으로서 살아나게 된 것입니다
Lord, you are the Christ, the Son of the living God. We confess this truth and receive baptism to become children of God. This is evidence of our death to this world and the defining moment of establishing the relationship with God as our Father so that we can enter His kingdom.
우리의 연약하고 죄악된 육신의 정욕을 못박고 세상에 대하여 죽음으로서 하나님 나라에 거룩한 백성이 되었습니다. 그러므로 우리는 세상 모든 정욕과 자랑에 끌려 다니거나 그것에 연연해 해서는 않됩니다. We have nailed our fragile and weak bodies to the cross and died to this world so that we can become citizens of God's kingdom. Therefore we must not be easily swayed by the things of this world.
a) 세상에 대하여 죽었다 함은 그 어떤 세상의 자랑이나 가치도 무익하게 여기고,그 어떤 세상의 핍박과 저주도 하찮게 여기는 것이기 때문입니다. The fact that we have died to this world means to be able to lay down any and all praise, glory of this world and to not fall prey to the persecution and judgment of this world.
b) 하나님 나라에 대하여 살아난 자들은 하늘의 영광을 소망하며 하나님 나라의 가치와 의에 따라서만 살아가는 하나님의 귀한 자녀임을 기억해야 합니다.(엡6:14) Those that live for the kingdom of God hope for the glory in heaven as God's children.
우리에게 주는 교훈 Application
1. 생명은 하나님에 의해 인간에게 주신 것입니다.(창2:7) Life is exclusively given to man by God.
생명은 예수님을 나의 주로 영접할 때 주님으로부터 받습니다.(요14:6) We receive life through Jesus who we receive as our Lord.
2. 사망은 인간이 하나님의 말씀을 순종하지 않았기 때문에 온 결과 입니다. Death is the result of man's disobedience to God.
죄의 삯은 사망이기 때문입니다. The fruit of sin is death.
3. 우리는 그리스도의 십자가가 지니고 있는 죽음과 생명의 원리를 바로 깨달아야 합니다. We must understand the principle of death and life that is associated with Christ's cross.
그리스도의 십자가를 믿고 따르는 우리 성도들 앞에 있는 죽음과 삶의 문제도 바로 깨달을 수 있습니다. 예수님께서는 죄와 사망과 세상 정욕의 모든 문제를 십자가에 못박아 소멸시키시고 의와 영원한 생명과 하나님 나라의 영광을 회복시키셨습니다. Through faith in the cross of Christ Jesus, we can understand and overcome the daunting issue of death and life that faces each of us.
4. 우리는 그리스도인이 되어 생명을 얻었습니다. 예수 그리스도의 십자가의 보혈로 하나닝의 자녀가 되었습니다. 탕자의 큰형처럼 사랑을 받았고 보호를 받았는데도 자기 아버지에게 불만을 갖고 원망하고 시기하였던 것처럼 그리스도인이 내가 큰 아들처럼 불평하고 원망하지 말고 세상에 사랑이 필요한 자에게 사랑을, 도움이 필요한 자에게는 도움을, 불쌍한 자들에게는 긍휼을 베풀수 있도록 노력합시다. We have received life as we have become Christians. By the blood of Jesus Christ's death on the cross, we have become God's children. We cannot and must not be like the older brother of the prodigal son, who had all the comforts he could have asked for but still complained and resented his father's behavior towards his younger brother. We must seek out those that need our love and assistance in this world and show our mercy and compassion to them.
