복음의 감격을 회복하자
마태복음 12:43-45
Matthew 12:43-45 New International Version (NIV)
43 “When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. 44 Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. 45 Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.”

오늘 본문은 하나님의 말씀에 대해 해박한 지식을 갖고 있는 바리새인들이 육신이 되신 하나님을 눈앞에 두고도 깨닫지 못하며 도리어 대적하자  예수님은 본문의 말씀을 통해서 그들의 상태 즉 표적을 구하는 서기관과 바리새인들의 사악함을   책망하시는 말씀의 마지막 부분입니다.
이 말씀은 비유로 하신 말씀입니다. 본문에서 사람과 집은 하나이며 그것은 사람의 마음을  상징하고 있습니다. 예수께서는 사악한 인간의 마음이 어떻게 해서 더 사악하게 되는냐에 대한 이 비유에서 하고 계십니다.
Today’s scripture is based on the final words of the passage in which we witness the Pharisees and Sadducees who are well versed in God’s words and yet even with God incarnate in front of them, do not realize this truth. This scripture is presented as a metaphor or an analogy. In the scripture, the house represents man and his heart. Through the scripture, Jesus tells us of how a wicked person can become more wicked.

A. 비어 있는 마음으로 그냥 놔 두어서는 않됩니다.  
    We can’t leave our hearts empty

1. 먼저 사람의 마음은 청소하고 수리해야 합니다.  
   We must first cleanse our hearts and fix it
예수께서는 귀신이 나간 사람의 마음을 소제되고 수리 된 집이라고 하셨습니다. 세상의 모든 인간들은 다 귀신의 지배하에 있습니다. 그들은 모두 귀신들린 자와 같습니다. 우상숭배는 귀신을 섬기는 것입니다. 현대는 풍요(부-물질)의 우상, 힘(권력, 재력 , 무력)의 우상, 괘락(성, 오락, 스포츠)의 우상이 재배하고 있습니다. 성도들은 세속적인 우상을 마음속에서 몰아내야 합니다. 속물 근성을 청소 해야 합니다. 성령의 도우심으로 정결하게 되어 구습을벗어버려야 합니다.
Jesus described the heart where the evil spirit as a house that has been fixed. All people in the world are susceptible to evil spirits. To worship worldly goods or idols is to worship evil spirits. Today this is readily seen in worship of idols such as wealth, power, and physical pleasures. We, as Saints, must cleanse our hearts of these idols. We must shed ourselves of these temptations through the power of the Holy Spirit.

2. 비어 있는 마음은 위험합니다. An empty heart is a dangerous heart
성령의 도움으로 청결하게 된 마음(회개)을 그냥 빈 마음으로 두어서는 않됩니다. 자연의 법칙은 진공 상태를 허락하지 아니합니다. 진공상태를 반드시 채워져야 합니다. 우리 자신의 마음 속에서 우상을 몰아내는 것으로 만족해서는 안됩니다. 죄를 짓지 아니하는 것으로 만족해서는 않됩니다. 죄를 짓지 않던 사람이 이제는 적극적으로 선한 활동을 하는 사람으로 변화되어야 합니다. 중간상태는 좋지 않습니다. 차든지 덥웁든지(계3:15)해야 합니다. 그리스도인들의 특성은 적극성입니다. 결단성입니다.
Once we shed ourselves of these temptations with the help of the Holy Spirit, we can’t leave it empty. The law of nature does not allow this emptiness to sit idle. We must fill this emptiness. We can’t just be content with chasing away our worldly idols. In the same light, we can’t be content with just not sinning. We must change into those that proactively seek to do good. To be left in limbo is not good either. We must be either cold or hot (Revelation 3:15) and not remain luke-warm. The special character of Christians is proactive fervor in faith and determination to do good.

B. 비어 있는 마음에 주인을 모셔야 합니다.    
   We must welcome our Lord to the empty house
본문 43절에 더러운 귀신이 사람에게서 나갔을 때에 물 없는 곳으로 다니며 쉬기를  구하되 얻지를 못했다 했습니다. 귀신들은 물이 없는 곳에 거하기를 즐깁니다.
귀신들이 나왔던 집으로 돌아가 보니 그 집이 비어 있고 소제되고 수리되어 있으므로 이에 가서  저보다도 더 악한 귀신 7을 데리고 들어가서 거하니 그 사람의 나중 형편이 전보다 더욱 심하게 되었다고 하였습니다. 우리는 내가 법이 없이도 선하게 산다고 하는 사람들을 봅니다. 이는 나 중심의 삶을 사는 사람입니다. 주인이 없이  사는 사람입니다. 집이 비어 있는 것과 같은 삶을 사는 것입니다.
In the scripture, verse 43, when the dirty evil spirit left the person, it wandered in places that were arid seeking rest but could not find it. These evil spirits seek out places that do not have water.
When the evil spirit returned to the house it had left, it was empty, cleaned and fixed and so it sought 7 other spirits more wicked than itself and thus the final condition of that person is worse than it was at first. There are people that think that they can live a good life without any governance. These are people who live a self-centered life. A person without a Lord. This is a person living a life like this empty, clean, fixed house.

내 삶의 형편이 좋아지게 하기 위해서는 내 마음에
       In order to make our situation and life better we must:

1. 성령께서 임재해 계셔야 합니다. The Holy Spirit must reside in us
본문에서의 문제점은 집을 청소하고 수리를 해놓고도 비어 두었다는데 있습니다. 주인이 없이 비어 두었기 때문에 귀신이 더 악한 귀신 일곱을 데리고 들어 왔다했습니다.
비어 두었다는 것은 방임해 두었다는 뜻입니다. 자기 만족에 빠져 있어다는 뜻입니다. 깨어 있지 않았다는 뜻입니다. 마귀가 들어올 기회를 주고 있었다는 뜻입니다.  마귀는 우는 사자같이 두루 다니며 삼킬 자를 찾으며 (벧전5:8) 택한자까지라도 미혹하는 때(마24:24) 이므로 성도들은 깨어 있어야 합니다. 우리마음에 성령께서 임재해 계시도록 하며 성령의 소욕을 따라 행하는 일입니다.(갈5:16) 진리로 무장하고 있어야 합니다.
The problem that is pointed out in the scripture is that even after the house was fixed and cleaned, it was left empty. Because the house was left without an owner, the evil spirit brought seven other more wicked spirits into the house.
      To have left the house empty means to leave it neglected. This means the person is distracted by self-contentment. It also means to not be awake. This left the opening for the evil spirits to enter. The devil is like the lion on hunt, looking for the injured prey (1 Peter 5:8) and even those who are chosen by God (Matthew 24:24).
      Thus we must remain on alert and awake. We must welcome the Holy Spirit to enter our hearts and follow His guidance with the Truth of the Word (Galatians 5:16)
     1) 성령의 소욕을 따라 행하라 –  
        We must follow and do in accordance with the Holy Spirit’s desires
바울은 모든 일을 성령을 좇아 행하라 교훈합니다. 성령을 좇아 행하는 일은 욕심에 이끌리지 않도록 성령의 인도하심을 따라 행하라는 것입니다. 성령의 인도하심을 따라 행하라는 것은 성령이 원하는 삶을 사는 것입니다.  성경의 말씀에서 찾아봅니다.
Paul teaches us to do all things in accordance with the Holy Spirit. We do what is opposite of what our desires tell us to do and rather follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit guides us so that we will live a life that is pleasing to God. Let’s seek this in His Word.

        a) 거듭남입니다. – To be born again
거듭난다는 것은 이전 것은 없어지고 새로운 피조물이 되는 것입니다. (고후5:17)   허물과 죄로 죽어던 몸이 새로운 생명을 얻는 것입니다.(엡2:1) 여기서 변화란 나쁜 것에서 좋은 것으로, 어둠에서 빛으로, 사망에서 생명으로 변화하는 것입니다.
이러한 모든 것은 예수그리스도께서 십자가에 죽으시고 다시 살아나심으로 말미암아 우리에게 허락된 것입니다( 벧전 1:3). 예수 그리스도께서는 인간을 거듭나게 하는 이러한 자신의 사역을 계속 감당케 하기 위해 보혜사 성령을 보내 주셨습니다( 요 14:16).
To be born again means to be rid of the things of past and to become new (1 Corinthians 5:17). To shed the old self and sins to gain new life (Ephesians 2:1). The meaning of change in this situation means to go from bad to good, darkness to light, death to life.
All of this is thanks to Jesus Christ dying on the cross and resurrecting from death (1 Peter 1:3). In order that we may partake of this sacrifice and continue to be guided in right path, Jesus Christ has sent to us the Holy Spirit (John 14:16).

        b) 열매 맺는 삶입니다. A fruitful life
가시나무에서 포도를 딸 수 없으며 엉겅퀴에서 무화과를 딸 수 없듯이 열매는 곧 그 사람의 행위대로 나타나는 법입니다. 그래서 열매는 그 사람을 판단하는 척도가 됩니다. 빛의 열매요(엡5:9), 성령의 열매요(갈5:22,23), 신의 성품(벧후1:4-7)입니다.
Just as you can’t pick grapes from a bramble tree and figs from a thistle tree, we will bear fruit in accordance with the way we live our lives. That is why we are told that we will be judged in accordance with the fruits that we bear. The fruit of light (Ephesians 5:9), Fruit of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22,23), Character of Saints (2 Peter 1:4-7).

        c) 복음을 증거하는 삶입니다.  – A life witnessing the Gospel
성령을 따르기를 원하는 자는 온갖 선한 열매를 맺을 뿐만 아니라 예수 그리스도와 그의 복음을 증거하는 삶을 살아야 합니다. 스데반은 죽음에 이르는 순간까지 기쁨으로 그리스도의 복음을 증거하였고( 행 7:54-60). 베드로는 모든 유대인들이 꺼려하던 이방인과 직접 대면 하면서 그리스도의 사역을 감당하였습니다( 행 10:34-43).
To those who want to live by the Holy Spirit, not only must we strive to bear good fruit, we must strive to spread the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Stephen lived his last moments with joy in witnessing Jesus Christ’s Gospel (Acts 7:54-60). Peter pursued this witnessing even to the Gentiles (Acts 10:34-43)

        d) 하나 되는 삶입니다.  A life becoming one
유대인이나 헬라인이나 종이나 자유자나 다 한 성령으로 세례를 받아 한 몸이 되었고 또한 모두 다같이 한 성령을 받은 자들입니다( 고전 12:13). 그러므로 우리 모두는 하나님 안에서 항 형제이며, 나뉘어 질 수 없는 한 몸입니다. 이는 성령께서 모든 성도들을 하나 되게 묶으셨기 때문입니다. 그러므로 모든 성도는 서로 마음을 같이하여 같은 사랑을 가지고 뜻을 합하여 한 마음을 품어야 합니다( 빌 2:2). 그렇지 않고 고린도 교인들처럼 바울이다, 아볼로다, 게바다, 그리스도다 하여 당파를 짓거나( 고전 1:12) 몸의 지체가 서로 분열되어 그리스도와 하나 되기를 거역한다면 그것은 성령의 뜻을 정면으로 거스리는 일이며 성령을 근심케 하는 일입니다
Whether Jew or Gentile, slave or freeman, all must receive baptism by the Holy Spirit and become ONE and together receive the Holy Spirit. ( 1Corinthians 12:13)
Therefore, we are brothers and sisters in God, and one body that can’t be defeated.
This binding has been done by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thus, all Saints hold onto the same heart and same love and same intent (Philippians 2:2).  
What I mean is this: One of you says, "I follow Paul"; another, "I follow Apollos"; another, "I follow Cephas"; still another, "I follow Christ."(1Corinthian 1:12) Without this, we will fall apart as did those in Corinth.

2. 성령의 열매로 가득 채워야 합니다.
    We must be filled with the fruits of the Holy Spirit
회개하여 청결한 마음속에는 성령의 거룩한 열매들로 채워 놓아야 합니다. 마귀가 비집고 들어올 틈을 놓아두지 말아야 합니다. 사랑과 희락과 화평과 오래 참음과 자비와 양선과 충성과 온유와 절제( 갈 5:22, 23)로 가득 채워야 합니다. 이것들은 모두 그리스도의 예수의 성품입니다. 그리고 감사와 찬송과 기도로 가득 채워야 합니다. 이것들은 성도의 본분입니다.
By repentance, we gain a clean heart that can be filled with the fruits of the Holy Spirit. We must not leave any space open for the devil or any evil spirits to enter. Love, Joy, Peace, Long-suffering, Mercy, Goodness, Faithfulness, Humility must fill our hearts fully (Galatians 5:22,23). These are all characters exemplified by Jesus Christ. We must fill our lives with thanksgiving, praise and prayer. This is our duty and calling.
        
3. 성령충만함을 받아야 합니다. We must be filled by the Holy Spirit
성령충만함을 받기 위해서는 초대교회 처럼 예수님의 말씀에 예수님의 제자들이 함께 모여 기도에 전혀 힘썼다했습니다. 그때에 성령이 바람과 같이 불의 혀와 같이 제자들위에 충만했습니다.(행2:1-8)
이와 같이 깨어 기도했을 때 제자들에게 나나탄 사건을 보면
In order to be filled by the Holy Spirit, we must do as the first church did in coming together in prayer. It is at that time that the Holy Spirit will fill our lives as it did for the disciples; like flaming tongues. (Acts 2:1-8)

     1) 눈물의 기도가 있었습니다. There must be prayers with tears of sincerity
3년 반동안을 함께 하셔서 모든 것을 가르쳐 주시고 인도해 주시고 위험을 막아 주셨던 예수님이 부활 승천 하셨습니다.  제자들은 어찌 할 바를 알지 못했습니다. 주님이 기도하라 하셨기에 주님을 떠나 보낸 제자들은 슬픔으로 가득했습니다. 눈물의 기도가 시작 되었습니다.
눈물의 기도 뒤에는 성도들의 회개의 역사가 나타난 것입니다. 떡을 먹음으로서 예수님을 따라다녔던 사람들은 떡이 없을 때 떠나 버리고 말았습니다. 병 낫기를 원했던 사람들도 예수님이 몇날이 못되면 대제사장과 장로들과 서기관들에게 많은 고난을 받고 죽임을 받고 제 삼일에 다시 살아날 것을 가르치사 모두다 예수님을 떠나 버렸습니다.
제자들도 지금까지 세상적으로 예수님만을 생각했던 잘못을 회개하는 역사가 나타났습니다. 예수님께 영생의 말씀이 있었는데 그것을 깨닫지 못한 것을 눈물로 회개하였습니다. 이때에 놀라운 성령의 역사가 나타났습니다. 성령으로 가득 채워졌습니다.
Jesus Christ, who had walked, taught, guided and protected the people was raised from the dead and ascended into Heaven. The disciples were at a loss for words when they witnessed his resurrection. The disciples were sad that Jesus ascended and left them and yet followed His instruction and prayed with tears. Following these tear filled prayers, there followed the miracle of repentance. Many left Jesus when the food and miracles stopped.
Even the disciples despaired.
It was only when the disciples realized their blindness to the good news of eternal life that came through repentance, that the Holy Spirit manifested Himself among them.

     2) 땀을 흘리는 열성이 있었습니다. There must be fervor and sweat-filled effort
제자들이 핍박으로 말미암아 예루살렘과 유다와 사마리아와 천하각지역으로 흩어졌습니다.  흩어진 그곳에서 땀을 흘리는 열정으로 복음을 선포하였습니다. 복음을 듣는 사람들이 주 예수의 부활을 믿음으로 성령으로 충만되어 교회가 성장하기 시작했습니다. 제자들이 흩어진 곳곳에 교회가 형성되었습니다.
The disciples were dispersed to Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and all outlying regions. In those places that they were scattered to, they continued to spread the Gospel with sweat-filled effort. Thanks to this effort, the Gospel was received by many and fueled the growth of the church. This is how the Church of Christ was established in many lands.

     3) 피를 흘리는 순교적인 헌신이 있었습니다.    
        There must be dedication to the point of spilling our own blood
복음을 받아들여 하나님의 자녀가 된 자들은  많은 핍박을 받았습니다. 심지어는 로마의 광장에서 사자의 밥이 되어 찟기고 피를 흘리며 죽어 갔던 믿음의 형제자매들의 순교의 피가 교회를 더 성장하게 되었고 하나님의 인도하심을 체험하게 되었습니다.
Those who have received the Gospel and become God’s children are subject to a lot of persecution. In Roman times, Christians were even fed to the lions and spilled their blood because they did not renounce their faith in God. This sacrifice made the church stronger and fully realized God’s guidance in all things.

우리에게 주는 교훈 - Application

1. 이제 주님의 교회가 오늘 이곳에 세워졌습니다. 이곳에 있던 악의 역사가 이곳에서 떠났습니다. 이제 준비되었고 소제되었고 수리 되었습니다.
더 악한 영들이 이곳에 오지 못하도록 해야 할 일이 있습니다.
Today, in this place, our Lord’s church is established. In this place, the evil spirits have been chased away. We are now ready as we have fixed, cleaned and renovated our house. We now must do our best to prevent the evil spirits from returning to this house.

2. 성령이 임재하도록 하십시오, 성령의 열매를 맺으십시오, 성령충만하십시오.
    We must fill our house with the Holy Spirit and we must be fruitful.

3.그러기 위해서는
    1) 눈물의 기도가 있어야 합니다.
    2) 복음선포로 인한 땀을 흘리는 역사가 있어야 합니다  
    3) 피를 흘리는 순교적 사명을 다한 것처럼 복음을 위해 순교하듯 최선의 헌신을
        다하십시오
In order to accomplish this:
    1) We must pray to the point of tears
    2) We must work diligently with sweat
    3) We must dedicate ourselves and be willing to sacrifice ourselves to the
        point of spilling our own blood for God and His calling
