그리스도께서 막힌 담을 허셨습니다
에베소서 2:14-22
Ephesians 2:14-22New International Version (NIV)
14 For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, 15 by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, 16 and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. 17 He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. 18 For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.
19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit

천지를 창조하신 하나님께서 지으신 만물을 보고 ‘보시기에 좋았더라’ 하셨습니다.(창세기 1:4, 10,12,  18,  21,  25,31) God the creator of all things, looked upon what He had created and said it was good.
        첫째날 4: 그 빛이 하나님 보시기에 좋았더라4 God saw that the light was  
                     good, and he separated the light from the darkness.
        셋째날10: 하나님이 뭍을 땅이라 칭하시고 모인 물을 바다라 칭하시니라 하나님
                      의 보시기에  좋았더라.
         10 God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called
             “seas.” And God saw that it was good.
         12: 땅이 물과 각기 종류대로 씨 맺는 채소와 각기 종류대로 씨 가진 열매 맺는
              나무를 내니 하나님의 보시기에 좋았더라.
         12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their
              kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds.
              And God saw that it was good.
         넷째날 18:주야를 주관하게 하시며 빛과 어두움을 나뉘게 하시니라
            18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness.  
              And God saw that it was good.
        다섯째 21:하나님이 큰 물고기와 물에서 번성하여 움직이는 모든 생물을 그 종류
             대로 창조하시니 하나님의 보시기에 좋았더라
            21 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing
            with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their
            kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it  
            was good.
        여섯째 25:하나님이 땅의 짐승을 그 종류대로, 육축을 그 종류대로, 땅에 기는 모
            든 것을 그 종류대로 만드시니 하나님의 보시기에 좋았더라
            25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock
            according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the
            ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
            31:하나님이 그 지으신 모든 것을 보시니 보시기에 심히 좋았더라 저녁이 되
            며 아침이 되니 이는 여섯째 날이라31 God saw all that he had made, and
             It was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the
             sixth day.
하나님이 좋았더라 하신 것은 만물들의 겉 모양만 보기 좋았다는 뜻이 아니라 천하 만물이 각자의 지음 받은 목적에 따라 하나님 안에서 서로 협력하여 하나되는 세상을 이루었다는 뜻입니다.
When God said it was good, he wasn’t just pleased with the individual things that were created but he was pleased with how all things came together to form the world.

인간이 죄를 지으므로; Because of Man’s sin;
        인간이 죄를 지으므로   서로 협력하여  하나되는 세상이 깨어지고 죄와 불신으로 담을 쌓아 서로간에 다툼과 분열이 일어나게 되었습니다.(창세기 3:12-19, 4:8; 11:7,8) Because of man’s sin, the harmony of the world was shattered and a wall and barrier was raised by sin and distrust.
        창세기 3:12아담이 가로되 하나님이 주셔서 나와 함께 하게 하신 여자 그가 그 나무 실과를 내게 주므로 내가 먹었나이다
The man said, "The woman you put here with me--she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate i
        13 여호와 하나님이 여자에게 이르시되 네가 어찌하여 이렇게 하였느냐 여자가 가로되 뱀이 나를 꾀므로 내가 먹었나이다
Then the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."
14여호와 하나님이 뱀에게 이르시되 네가 이렇게 하였으니 네가 모든 육축과 들의 모든 짐승보다 더욱 저주를 받아 배로
다니고 종신토록 흙을 먹을지니라
So the LORD God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, "Cursed are you above all the livestock and all the wild animals!
You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life.
15 내가 너로 여자와 원수가 되게 하고 너의 후손도 여자의 후손과 원수가 되게 하리니 여자의 후손은 네 머리를 상하게 할 것이요 너는 그의 발꿈치를 상하게 할 것이니라 하시고
And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel."
16또 여자에게 이르시되 내가 네게 잉태하는 고통을 크게 더하리니 네가 수고하고 자식을 낳을 것이며 너는 남편을 사모하고 남편은 너를 다스릴 것이니라 하시고
To the woman he said, "I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you."  
17 아담에게 이르시되 네가 네 아내의 말을 듣고 내가 너더러 먹지 말라 한 나무 실과를 먹었은즉 땅은 너로 인하여 저주를 받고 너는 종신토록 수고하여야 그 소산을 먹으리라
To Adam he said, "Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, 'You must not eat of it,' "Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.
18 땅이 네게 가시덤불과 엉겅퀴를 낼 것이라 너의 먹을 것은 밭의 채소인즉
It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field.
19 네가 얼굴에 땀이 흘러야 식물을 먹고 필경은 흙으로 돌아 가리니 그 속에서 네가 취함을 입었음이라 너는 흙이니 흙으로 돌아갈 것이니라 하시니라
By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return."

창세기4:8 가인이 그 아우 아벨에게 고하니라 그후 그들이 들에 있을 때에 가인이 그 아우 아벨을 쳐죽이니라
Now Cain said to his brother Abel, "Let's go out to the field." And while they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.

창세기 11:7 자, 우리가 내려가서 거기서 그들의 언어를 혼잡케 하여 그들로 서로 알아듣지 못하게 하자 하시고
Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other."
8 여호와께서 거기서 그들을 온 지면에 흩으신 고로 그들이 성 쌓기를 그쳤더라
So the LORD scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city.

하나님의 독생자이신 예수께서 막혔던 담을 허셨습니다. 
God’s one and only Son, Jesus, broke down this barrier and wall


1. 그리스도께서 하나님과 사람 사이의 담을 허셨습니다.
    Christ broke down the barrier and wall that separated God with Man

그리스도가 오시기 전까지 인류에게 가장 큰 비극은 하나님과의 원수 됨 이었습니다. 아담이 에덴 동산에서 범죄한 후로 인류는 하나님과 멀어졌고 가까워질 수 있는 길이 없었습니다.  인간이 범죄함으로 말미암아 죄의 담이 하나님과 사람 사이를 가로 막아 생명이신 하나님으로 부터 갈라놓고 사망에 이르게 하셨습니다(롬5:12)                    왜냐하면 하나님의 의로우시고 거룩하시기 때문에 죄인인 인간이 하나님과 함께 할 수 없습니다.

그러나 하나님은 인간을 긍휼히 여기셔서 그냥 놔 두시지 않으시고 가장 중요한 자신의 독생자인 예수 그리스도를 인간을 위해  화목제물로(롬3:25; 요일 4:10) 보내 주셔서 하나님과 인류 사이를 화목케 하셨습니다.
The biggest tragedy for mankind before the coming of Christ was the fact that man became enemies with God through sin. There was no way for man to reconcile with God the distance that was created by sin of Adam in Eden. By his sin, sin’s barrier/wall was raised up between God and man. This is because man in his sinful nature cannot exist in the same place as God’s righteousness and holiness. However, God showed his compassion to mankind and sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for all mankind. (Romans 3:25; 1 John 4:10) This reconciled Man with God.
그리스도의 십자가로써 하나님과 인류의 원수 관계는 완전히 청산되었습니다.
우리는 그리스도를 영접하고 주는 그리스도요 살아계신 하나님의 아들이심을 믿는 믿음안에서 우리의 모든 죄를 사함 받고 드디어 하나님과 우리 사이에 놓인 죄의 담을 헐게 되었습니다.(고후5:19)
Once and for all, the relationship between man and God was reconciled by the cross of Christ and through Christ Jesus for all those who believe, they have received remission of their sins and the barrier/wall of sin has been torn down.
        고후5:9 그런즉 우리는 거하든지 떠나든지 주를 기쁘시게 하는 자가 되기를 힘쓰노라
So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. (2 Corinthians 5:9)

그래서 우리는 어두움의 권세에서 생명으로, 사망에서 생명으로, 어두움에서 빛으로,  사단의 권세에서 하나님께고 돌아가게 하고 죄 사함과 예수를 믿어 거룩하게 된 무리 가운데서 기업을 얻게 되었습니다.(행26:18)
18 to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’ (Acts 26:18)


뿐만 아니라  우리는 하나님을 아버지라고 부룰 수 있는 자녀가 되었습니다.(롬 8:15,16)
그리스도께서 하나님과 사람 사이의 담을 허시므로 하나님은 그리스도를 통해 하나님의 자녀가 된 성도를 조건 없이 복 주시고 보호하여 주십니다.
Not only this, we have been given the opportunity to call God, Abba, Father as his adopted children. (Romans 8:15,16) By the breaking down of the barrier and wall between man and God, we now are worthy to receive the unconditional blessing and protection of our Father God.

성도는 우리의 창조주가 되시고 구속주가 되시는 아버지 하나님께 충성하고 봉사해야 할 것입니다.  As such , we, as Saints, must be obedient to our Father God and we must work tirelessly for Him.

2.        그리스도께서는 사람과 사람사이의 담을 허셨습니다.                                 Christ broke down the barrier and wall that separated Man with Man

아담과 하와의 범죄는 하나님과 자신들의 사이만 갈라놓으신 것이 아니라 사람과 사람 사이도 갈라 놓았습니다. 아담과 하와는 서로 잘못을 떠 넘기게 되었습니다. (창3:12)
Adam and Eve’s sin not only separated Man from God but it also separated Man with Man. Adam and Even blamed each other for their transgression. (Genesis 3:12)

그들이 낳은 자식은 형제를 미워하고 죽이기까지 하었습니다(창4:8)
Their children hated each other to the extent of murdering one another. (Genesis 4:8)

사람과 사람 사이에는 미움과 불신과 다툼의 담이 쌓이게 되고 끝없는 분열과 전쟁 속에서 살게 된 것입니다. In between man and man, there is hatred, distrust, and conflict that lead to separation and war.

그러나 그리스도께서 모든 인간의 죄를 지고 십자가에 죽으심으로 인간 사이의 모든 불신과 미움과 다툼의 담을 허셨습니다. 이제 예수를 믿는 우리에게는 복음이 바로 화평의 복음이요(행10:36), 사랑의 복음 입니다.(요13:34)
However, Christ took unto himself the sins of this world and died on the cross so that all of man’s barriers and walls created by hatred, distrust and conflict can be torn down. For those who believe in Jesus, His Gospel is the gospel of peace.
이 놀라운 은혜를 알고도 형제를 사랑하지 못하고 마음속에 미움과 질투가 가득차 있다면 성도라 할 수 없습니다. 주안에서 서로 사랑하고 하나가 됩시다.
To be aware of this amazing grace and yet still be unable to love one another is the greatest of travesty and for those that cannot do this cannot call themselves Saints. In the name of our Lord, we must love one another.

그러므로 세상 사람들이  우리를 보고 예수님의 제자인줄 알게 될 것입니다(요13:35) Therefore, the people of this world can look upon us and know that we are disciples of Jesus Christ. (John 13:35)

3.        그리스도께서는 사람과 자연 사이의 담을 허셨습니다.                             Christ broke down the barrier and wall that separated Man with Nature

하나님께서 천지를 창조 하셨을 때는 아담과 하와는 자연으로 더불어 평화롭게 지냈습니다.(창2:19)  그들이 하나님의 말씀에 순종하지 않으므로 땅을 하나님께서 저주하셨고 땅은 사람에게 가시덤불과 엉겅퀴를 내게 되었습니다(창세기 3:17,18) When God created the world, including Man, Adam and Eve lived in peace. (Genesis 2:19) By their disobedience, this land received God’s judgment, resulting in Man’s strife in the world.
        
        창 3:17 아담에게 이르시되 네가 네 아내의 말을 듣고 내가 너더러 먹지 말라 한 나무 실과를 먹었은즉 땅은 너로 인하여 저주를 받고 너는 종신토록 수고하여야 그 소산을 먹으리라

자연의 짐승들과 천재지변 때문에 사람들은 생명의 위협을 느끼게 되고, 사람들의 무분별한 행동과 탐욕 때문에 자연은 황패해 졌습니다.  기상청에서도 발표하기를 올해는 엘리뇨 현상이 일어나 세계 곳곳에 변화가 일어나게 될것이라고 말하고 있습니다. 남극과 북극의  만년설이 녹고 있다고 하였습니다.  이대로 간다면 육지가 점점 잠긴다고 합니다. 기상학자들의 말에 의하면 지구를 잘 관리하지 않는 다면 지구가 온난화 되어 물이 점점 불어나 일부의 땅들이 물 속으로 가라 앉는다고 합니다.  다시 말해 천재지변이 일어난다고 합니다.
사람과 자연사이에도 분쟁의 담이 가로 놓이게 되었습니다. 그러나 그리스도께서 오셔서 인간만이 아니라 모든 피조물을 썩어짐에서 해방하심으로 인간과 자연 사이에 놓인 담을 허셨습니다.(롬8:18-25) Man’s life is threatened in this world because of Man’s actions against nature. Today’s news commonly mentions that the current El Nino effect is causing many places to undergo extreme changes. This includes the melting of the polar caps. If we continue in this path, the water levels will rise thus reducing the land masses. If we do not take care of our world, there will be utter chaos. This is all evidence of the barrier and wall that exists between man and nature. However, by Christ and the liberation he brings, the relationship between Man and Nature can be reconciled.

        로마서8:18 생각건대 현재의 고난은 장차 우리에게 나타날 영광과 족히 비교할 수 없도다.
I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
19 피조물의 고대하는 바는 하나님의 아들들의 나타나는 것이니
The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.
  20 피조물이 허무한 데 굴복하는 것은 자기 뜻이 아니요 오직 굴복케 하시는 이로 말미암음이라
For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope
          21 그 바라는 것은 피조물도 썩어짐의 종노릇한 데서 해방되어 하나님의 자녀들의 영광의 자유에 이르는 것이니라
that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.
        22 피조물이 다 이제까지 함께 탄식하며 함께 고통하는 것을 우리가 아나니
We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.
23 이뿐 아니라 또한 우리 곧 성령의 처음 익은 열매를 받은 우리까지도 속으로 탄식하여 양자 될 것 곧 우리 몸의 구속을 기다리느니라
Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.
24 우리가 소망으로 구원을 얻었으매 보이는 소망이 소망이 아니니 보는 것을 누가 바라리요
For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has?
         25 만일 우리가 보지 못하는 것을 바라면 참음으로 기다릴지니라
But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
        이제 사람과 자연은 하나님 안에서 서로 돕고 가꾸어야 할 존재가 된 것입니다. 우리 자신을 돌아봅시다. 우리는 자연을 얼마나 사랑하고 있습니까?  혹시 자연을 황패시키고 있지는 않는가 돌아보고 그리스도를 사랑하는 마음으로 하나님의 창조물인 자연을 아끼고 사랑합니다. We must now realize and accept that Man and Nature must co-exist under God; helping one another to co-exist in harmony. Let us self-reflect and ask ourselves, how much have we loved our nature? Let’s acknowledge our actions against nature and with renewed love that Christ Jesus showed us, let us love the nature that is around us.
우리에게 주는 교훈 / Application
1.        그리스도께서 우리를 위하여 죽으심으로 죄로 인하여 하나님과 사람, 사람과 사람, 사람과 자연 사이에 놓인 모든 담을 헐어 버리셨습니다.
By Christ’s sacrifice in death, all of sin’s barriers and walls raised between God and Man, Man and Man, Man and Nature were broken down

2.        그런데 나는 미움과 불신과 다툼의 담속에서 방황하고 있지는 않습니까?
Are you still wandering behind barriers and walls of hatred and disobedience?

3.        그리스도를 믿는 마음으로 하나님의 창조물인 자연을 아끼고 관리하고 사랑합시다.
With faith in Christ, let us love and take care of ALL of nature that God has created.
